    @bambooman36 agent orange u serious?

  3. Wolfsbane909

fuck i pay a few more cents for organic, GMOs suck. ownership of organisms & kife form thats fucked up. natural is soo much better anyways, strawberries are a good example of organic vs gmo.
    poor hawians…

  4. Hawaiianstile

it all goes back to one thing. the american occupation has to end so we can fix everything they destroyed and stop them from destroying anything further. their occupation of our government is making it nearly impossible to defend ourselves from them. genetic piracy, legal genocide, desecration of land and culture, desecration of the bodies and bones of our elders. it never ends, and they work so hard to keep everyone else from hearing about it.

  5. squirrelsarecute7

yes, GMO’s suck, but it doesn’t mean the govenment wants to kill us….

    educate the government

  6. iCraacked

    What the hell?

    Poor Hawaii. :(

    Stupid people.

If viewing this video on GMOs makes you angry and you’d like to do something about it, join with the rest of the world on May 31, 2010 in a national and international protest against against GMOs! This will take place on memorial day weekend on the Mall in Washington DC and on a larger global scale.

  8. MadPutz

I’m from Hawaii. GMOs are not all bad. Take the evolution of transportation, primitive humans made do with horses, but now we happily use far better and cheaper (relative to income) cars – of course there’s the issue of car safety and pollution, and that must be worked on, but it’s not a reason to not use cars at all.

Cars kill over a million people worldwide a year, are you willing to give up your car? GMO’s purported negative effects, even the most extreme, pale in comparison.

over nine billion mouths to feed by 2050, we’re gonna need more living space, more chopping of the rainforest for paper and other wooden shit, more overfishing, more cars driving down air quality, more species going extinct. earth is our only home and we’re not taking care of it, we’re crowding it up. we’re not capable colonizing space anytime soon. wTF can we do? ps i hate the idea of this fucking cat. he/she SHOULD do a video on the east boston cat that got called to jury duty though, lol

  10. brokendave

@theegapman I agree, unfortunately, you can’t buy organic everywhere.

  11. theegapman

It makes me mad to hear all the stories of agribusiness. 2010 looks to be the tipping point. nonGMOproject has been introduced where labels will start appearing on nonGMO food. Consumers are getting more educated and countries from Ireland to Japan to Egypt have banned GMOs.

    go to nongmoproject(dot)org
see “the world according to monsanto”

AND VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET! Buy organic, ask questions, buy nongmoproject labeled food.

  12. RandyBful1

johnluvsiuna; you and people like you are puppets (or you work for Monsanto) and are useless to society! There are many more people starving in the world BECAUSE of GMOs…ever heard of research, or is it beyond your basic comprehension? You obviously didn’t understand ANYTHING that was said in that video. This is the largest EXPERIMENT – EVER and no one can predict the long term ramifications of it! Nothing good will EVER come of this. Drugs and bacteria in the plants is totally insane!

  13. RandyBful1

frankenfood, frankenfood, frankenfood! Get it through your thick, fucking skulls! Type II diabetes, cancer, heart/stroke problems, MS and other neurological diseases, Alzheimer and similar diseases – all of these and more, continue to rise because greedy corporations with no conscience want to play GOD! Anyone who isn’t fighting against these corporations, is supporting them! No one has the right to patent LIFE! It doesn’t get any simpler than that.

  14. Mr44hoku

    GMO not Pono
    malama aina
    not….fuk up aina

There is a difference between using the best of a species to get what you want versus injecting foreign genes into another life to hopefully get what you want. It’s not my claims, it is researched fact that since GMO foods have been allowed into the food supply the rate of cancer has gone up. There are videos online of people that live close to Monsanto plants that have very high levels of PCB’s in their system that is causing them problems. We also have a problem that our bees are dying off.

  16. ExorbitClamp

Your reasoning that the increase of cancer is caused by GMO is ridiculous because for one their are too so many causes for cancer that it would be ridiculous to blame it on GMO foods and GMO’s have been going on for ages. Farmers domesticated animals and they chose the best traits for animals a form of genetic modification.

  17. waltermouthoh

So they’re cheering that the university gave up the patent. What did they do, sell the patent to Monsanto? How much?

  18. waltermouthoh

Man I’m sure glad I don’t work for Monsanto! I’d be afraid of walking out my house and being killed. If I worked for Monsanto I’d be afraid of being shoved into a car and taken somewhere and tortured, and if I’m lucky they’d kill me. And what about my family? There’s no way I’d work for Monsanto, no way, not ethically or any way. And if I were a lawyer or politician for Monsanto I’d be triply afraid! You sure wouldn’t find me doin’ any deals with Monsanto. No way. good site is soisnessdotorg.

  19. bambooman36

fuck GMO’s. right now the company thats doing it on Hawaii on Molokai is the same company the made “Agent Orange” all thats shit they put in the plants to test the food goes into the ground and goes into the water source. all these companies should feed these fucken foods to there kids and see what happens.

  20. WiPTornado

Actually… i would like for people to stop being paranoid little children… Branding something as being unnatural and thus should be banned and avoided without looking into it is pathetic. “Frankenfood” how is that a levelheaded label?
When do we get to go after gays for being natural? for contaminating our school systems? When do we go after camera manufacturers for creating devices that steal our souls?

  21. pitbrand

It has been shown that since GMO foods have hit the market that deadly illnesses like cancer has dramatically increased. Foreign countries require all GMO foods to be labeled as such and those foods aren’t high in demand in those countries. The US doesn’t require any labeling of GMO foods and actually is attacking farmers that don’t use the pesticides made by companies like Monsanto. GMO food is poison.

  22. johnluvsluna

Waving around words like “frankenfood” does not encourage me to believe you have any idea what you are talking about. You eat genetically modified foods, so does everyone. If they don’t want it then they will have to starve: all cultivated and domesticated food has been genetically modified since before the pyramids were built. I work for Bill Jones, you know him? He rescues owls. Who do you work for?

  23. gekkkehuis

who do you work for ? people don’t want
    frankenfood ,do the maths !!!!!

  24. johnluvsluna

They are building on ancient techniques using their own land, in order to feed the hungry people of this world. There are always risks, but genetic engineering has saved millions of lives and the benefits far outweigh the costs, which can be controlled for now and improved over time.

This video is very, very biased and does not show the whole story at all!

  25. It seems they already have plants w/ the genes to produce seeds that are sterile. Not the plant is sterile but the seeds are. I think it’s w/in the first 20mins. of the film as they talk more of the whole gene make up in general & how it is attached to the cell, or I could be wrong abt that part & may have seen it elsewhere. You’ll have to google abt that part.
