if you are talking about 1:02 then that gentleman’s name is Roger Little. He was an older guy who had problems with the winds as I remember it.
He kept going till he fell.

Ultrarun is double the distance if im not mistaken…
triathlon is cool and i love it, but this is not the hardest 1 day event in the world. the pro’s finish in 8 hours, there are ultra marathons that take up to 24hrs to complete, and i would much rather swim/bike/run than run for the entire time.

Watching this makes me want to do this triathlon really bad lol.
I wouldnt do it for winning over others, but more for victory over myself. They would probably have to carry me off the track though
I absolutly think the Ironman is the toughest single day event!!!! But man….. the tour is a challenge all for it self….. can you imagine racing 180Km> one day after the next for 21 days (excluding rest days and time trial stages????)
I’m a triathlete but I give the tour the respect it deserves!!!
